KHOU Interviews Citronix Tech Services

David Norelid | August 12, 2008

I did an interview with KHOU the other day for a piece on the lawsuit mentioned earlier and how it was progressing. There were at my lab for an hour or so and ended up using about 15 seconds of footage, but I suppose that’s to be expected.

Like the video says, computer repair work isn’t the most glamorous work, but it’s what I love to do. Give me a call and I’ll show you!

Here’s another quick picture someone at IJ snapped of me outside the Austin courthouse. I felt bad for everyone out there in wool suits, the linen was very nice to me that day.

i’ve just watched the video, i think this law is a completely absurd, i mean its true it may be a fine line between being called upon to fix somebody’s problem, because that implies investigating what the problem is before you be able to fix it, but needing a licence to help someobody out fixing a problem? is that what it is really about? i mean you wouldnt touch anybody’s computer unless they invit you to do so, so how could it be a breach of any law so long as there is a mutual consensus?

The issue at hand is that Private Investigators are a dying breed. They are seeking to have legislation to protect their business. It’s very similar to what the RIAA/MPAA are doing in America. They have failed to stay up to date and are seeking governmental protection for a broken business model.

I thought I had lost my thesis paper when my computer crashed. I was about to have a nervous breakdown, but David showed up promptly was able to recover it completely. He even gave me a great deal on a backup hard drive so this never happens again! — Jonathan R
